You can ask us to permanently delete your Poripurok account and the personal data we hold about you at any time. This page explains the two ways to request deletion, what we remove, what we are legally required to keep, and how long the process takes.
তুমি চাইলে যেকোনো সময় তোমার Poripurok অ্যাকাউন্ট ও সংশ্লিষ্ট তথ্য স্থায়ীভাবে মুছে ফেলার অনুরোধ করতে পারো। নিচে দু’টি পদ্ধতি, কী মুছে যায়, কী আইনি কারণে সংরক্ষণ করতে হয়, এবং কতদিন সময় লাগে — সব ব্যাখ্যা করা আছে।
1. Delete from inside the app (recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account is from inside the Poripurok mobile app:
- Open the Poripurok app and sign in if you are not already.
- Tap Profile in the bottom navigation bar (the rightmost tab).
- Scroll to the bottom of the profile screen and tap অ্যাকাউন্ট ডিলিট করো (Delete Account).
- A confirmation dialog appears summarising what gets deleted, what is kept for legal reasons, and the 30-day timeline. Tap ডিলিট রিকোয়েস্ট পাঠাও (Send Delete Request) to open the request form.
- Fill in the short form (phone number, name, reason, confirmation checkbox) and submit. Your account and data are then deleted within 30 days.
Once you submit the form, your deletion request is queued. We may contact you within 3 business days if we need to verify anything before processing.

2. Request deletion via the online form
You can also submit a deletion request directly from this page — no app or login required. Use this option if you cannot access the app, for example because you have changed your phone number or forgotten your password.

The form asks for your registered phone number, name, and reason so we can verify the account is yours before processing. Submissions are reviewed within 3 business days, and deletion is completed within 30 days.
If you prefer email, you can also write to team@poripurok.com with the subject “Account Deletion Request — Poripurok”. Please include the phone number registered to your account and the name on the account so we can locate it.

3. Data we delete
When your deletion request is processed, the following data is permanently removed from our active systems:
- Your profile (name, phone number, password hash, profile photo).
- Your education details (class, board, gender, and any other onboarding fields).
- Your conversation history with the Poripurok AI tutor — questions, replies, uploaded images, and voice messages.
- Your bookmarks, saved notes, mastery progress, and personalised feed history.
- Your subscription state and remaining credits.
- Authentication tokens and device session records linked to your account.

4. Data we are required to retain
A small set of records cannot be deleted immediately because Bangladeshi law requires us to keep them for a defined period. After this period expires, the records are deleted automatically.
- Payment transaction records (bKash payment ID, merchant invoice number, package purchased, amount, date) — retained for up to 6 years to comply with the Income Tax Act and VAT & Supplementary Duty Act of Bangladesh. These records are detached from your personal profile after the account is deleted and are stored in a restricted, audit-only form.
- Records related to ongoing disputes, fraud investigations, or legal proceedings — retained until the matter is fully resolved, then deleted.
- System backups — production database backups may contain copies of your data for up to 30 days after deletion. We do not restore from these backups for any purpose other than disaster recovery, and any data they contain expires on the standard backup rotation.
None of the retained records are used for marketing, profiling, or product personalisation after your account is deleted.

5. Deleting specific data without closing the account
If you only want to remove a particular item — for example, clear your AI chat history, delete a saved bookmark, or replace your profile photo — you can do that from the relevant screen inside the app without deleting your whole account.
For larger requests (e.g. wipe all chat history but keep the account), email team@poripurok.com with the specific data category you want removed, and we will action it within the same timeline as a full account deletion.
পুরো অ্যাকাউন্ট না মুছে শুধু নির্দিষ্ট তথ্য (যেমন চ্যাট ইতিহাস বা বুকমার্ক) মুছতে চাইলে অ্যাপের ভেতর থেকেই করতে পারো, অথবা উপরের ঠিকানায় ইমেইল পাঠাও।
6. How long deletion takes
- In-app deletion: your active account is closed instantly. The underlying records are removed from our primary database within 72 hours.
- Email request: we acknowledge within 3 business days and complete deletion within 30 days of verifying your identity.
- Backups: any residual data inside our encrypted backups expires on the rotation cycle within 30 days of the primary deletion.
সময়সীমা: অ্যাপ থেকে মুছলে সাথে সাথে বন্ধ, ৭২ ঘণ্টার মধ্যে সার্ভার থেকে অপসারণ। ইমেইল অনুরোধে সর্বোচ্চ ৩০ দিন। ব্যাকআপে ৩০ দিনের মধ্যে স্বয়ংক্রিয় ভাবে অপসারিত।
7. What happens after deletion
- You are signed out of every device and will not be able to sign back in using the same phone number for at least 30 days after deletion.
- Any remaining subscription credits are forfeited and are not refundable. Refunds, if any, are governed by our separate Refund Policy and must be requested before deletion.
- If you sign up again later with the same phone number, you will start with a fresh account — no chat history, bookmarks, or subscription credits will be restored.
ডিলিটের পর: সকল ডিভাইস থেকে লগআউট হবে, ৩০ দিন পর্যন্ত ঐ ফোন নম্বর দিয়ে আবার লগইন যাবে না, অবশিষ্ট ক্রেডিট ফেরতযোগ্য নয়। রিফান্ড থাকলে ডিলিটের আগেই রিফান্ড পলিসি অনুযায়ী আবেদন করো।
